Summary: The present invention relates to the bimodal Ni-Fe/La-Al₂O₃ catalyst for syngas production from carbon dioxide reforming of methane and process for the preparation thereof. The active and stable catalyst system is helpful for the sustainable production of syngas from the methane via a dry (CO₂) reforming route. The presented catalyst recipes provide high activity and long-term stability to mitigate the catalyst deactivation problem for DRM technology.
